Caribbean live music – Salsa and Bachata at KU.BE
Come and join us for an evening of Caribbean live music, salsa, son and bachata in Frederiksberg. Bring your friends, come on your own, or find a dance partner along the way.
We invite you to an evening of Caribbean live music, dancing and great rhythms as Eminente Quarteto takes over KU.BE in Frederiksberg.
We’ll start the evening with professional introductions to bachata and salsa dancing in collaboration with Bachata Dominicana Copenhagen. Here, you can learn the basic steps, get the rhythm into your body and get ready for the dance floor.
Later, Eminente Quarteto will play two sets of son, salsa and bachata, and of course, there will be room to keep dancing between sets. There will also be a bar where you can buy refreshments throughout the evening and recharge between dances.
Eminente Quarteto has its musical roots firmly planted in Cuba, and the quartet consists mainly of Cuban musicians. For this concert, we will also venture into the world of Dominican music, with bachata in the repertoire, giving you plenty of opportunities to experience the many different sides of the Caribbean musical tradition.
Whether you’ve been dancing for years, are completely new to the dance floor, or simply feel like experiencing live music in good company, you are very welcome. You need neither a dance partner nor any experience to join in.
