Join us for a cozy and flavourful afternoon where we take a trip to the Dominican Republic — through rum, music, dance, and Caribbean flavours.

✨ The event includes:

🥃 Tasting of 4 different rums from the Dominican Republic
🍌 Sweet and savoury Caribbean snacks
💃 1-hour intro to Dominican social dance (Merengue/Bachata)

The rum tasting will be hosted by Smagning.com, who are specialists in tastings and great storytelling. Along the way, you won’t just taste exciting rums — you’ll also hear stories about the origins of rum, its production, and the Dominican culture behind it.

The dance class will be taught by Bachata Dominicana Copenhagen. They are passionate about authentic Dominican dance and culture. The class is open to all levels and offers a fun and relaxed introduction to the social dance styles of the Dominican Republic.

The sweet and savoury snacks will be prepared by Ulrikke, who is part of Bachata Dominicana Copenhagen and our in-house food mama for our community lunches.

You do not need to bring a dance partner — we rotate during the class, so everyone gets the chance to dance together. If you bring a partner that you would like to dance with the whole time, that is of course also possible.

The event is for both beginners and curious souls who simply want a different, warm, and social experience.
